Even if you and your bestie find yourselves far from being in the same zip code, doesn’t mean you can’t still hang out all the time. Don’t fret, long distance besties exist. Luckily for us, we live in the golden age of technology where we’re afforded the luxury of being able to feel like someone’s right there with us, even if their thousands of miles away (hello Metaverse?) Sure, FaceTime is the go-to for long distance BFFs but if you want to switch it up a bit, let us show you how.
Pick a movie that you’ve both been dying to see in theatres and try to coordinate the time slots so that you’re both seeing it at the same time. And obviously call each other immediately after to discuss. Duh.
Everyone has a guilty pleasure show and for most of us, it’s reality tv (hello, Too Hot To Handle,anybody?) Watching your favorite show live with your bestie is a really cool way to connect, gossip and not worry about #spoilers. It’s super easy and can be done through FaceTiming each other or using apps like Teleparty so you can simultaneously enjoy each other’s company without distance as a factor. Get cozy, get the bottle of wine out and settle in for a night of bad TV.
Book clubs don’t have to be in person. You can also do it with your long-distance bestie! Pick out a book that you’ve both been eager to read and set a schedule to meet over Skype every couple of chapters to discuss, dissect and speculate. We totally recommend an interactive mystery like Cain’s Jawbone!
Keep a Pinterest board of our favorite recipes and decide on a night to make them together! Set up your laptop or phone so you can FaceTime each other while you "ratatouille" your way through the kitchen. Keep your wine tumblers close-by so you can enjoy a chilled glass of white and have fun! When you’re finished cooking, sit down together and taste! Bon appétit!

If you’re like us and your love language is gift giving, you should totally prep the cutest care packages to send to each other. Send your bestie things you can do together like an adult coloring book or a at home spa kit and some snacks and then plan out a night after you’ve both got your packages so you can do them together!
